JERRY RIMMER, age 66 of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday evening, June 24, 2018 following a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Fred and Jeanette (Dean) Rimmer and was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Steve Rimmer. Jerry was a graduate of Maury High School and earned his master's degree in industrial engineering at the University of Tennessee. Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman and athlete who enjoyed scuba diving, triathlons, and motorcycle riding. He served as a board member of Tennessee Handbags and President of Tennessee Machine and Hosiery, carrying on the family business with expert ability and steadfast dedication. He will be remembered as one who cared for others: his family, his employees, and his numerous friends. Further, he will be remembered for his commitment to charity through his leadership in the Boys & Girls Club of America through which he received the nationally recognized Silver Medallion Award for his contribution, passion, and love of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley, TN. A loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, Jerry is survived by his wife, Debbie Rimmer, his brother, Bill (Renee`) Rimmer, his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Elvia Rimmer, and his grandchildren, Jerry, Steven, and Lucia Rimmer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018, 11:00am at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert White officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
