Jerry Powell

Jerry Dale Powell, age 62, of White Pine, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System after a short battle with Amyloidosis. Jerry was a Deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff Department and an Army veteran before going into law enforcement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gladys (Beane) Powell, as well as his sister, Patsy Simmons.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kelly, and his stepson, William (Colleen) Huddleston, of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Allan (Kathy) Powell of Conover, NC, and his granddaughter, Amber Huddleston, of Philadelphia, PA, along with nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, between 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine. The funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Mowery officiating. A Military Graveside will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee.
