Jerry R. Lawson

Jerry R. Lawson, age 69, of New Market, TN passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, September 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from the University of Tennessee maintenance department He is preceded in death by his mother; Jessie Lawson. He is survived by his daughters; LeAnn (Jim) Lewis and Tracy (Jamie) Beard; grandchildren, Mason, Baylee, Caleb, Chloe, and Cobey; father, Ralph Lawson; brother, William (Denise) Lawson, and several nieces and nephews. The body will lie in state Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Strawberry Plains Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Rev. Rickey Hardin officiating. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and every family member and friend that cared for Jerry in his time of sickness.
