Jerry D Arwood

Mr. Jerry Arwood, life long resident of White Pine, TN passed away suddenly the morning of Oct. 9. Jerry is survived by his mother, Sue Hardin Arwood; sister, Judy Arwood; aunt, Laura Hardin Kryder and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James (Bunt) Arwood. Mr. Arwood attended UT, and graduated from Carson Newman College with an advanced degree in history. He was an avid reader, a passionate cat lover, and sports' enthusiast. He loved UNC basketball, Notre Dame football, and Yankee baseball. Jerry was devoted to his mother, with whom he resided, and shared caretaking with his sister Judy. He was a simple man, enjoying every day with his many cats, and sharing his love, his great humor and passions with his friends and family. Receiving of friends will be held at Farrar Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 from 2-3 with the memorial service immediately following.
