JEFFERY LYNN JENNINGS, JR., age 39, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on November 20, 2024 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. From his infectious laughter to his cheerful demeanor, Jeff brought immeasurable joy and light to his family. His spirit taught everyone about resilience and hope. Jeff was the fourth-highest rusher in JCHS football history, and was an outstanding linebacker. He also played basketball and earned letters in track and field. He was named All-State selection by the Associated Press and was a TSSAA 5A Mr. Football finalist. Jeff went on to play collegiately at Vanderbilt University for four seasons.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Nathaniel Jennings and uncle, James Jennings. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Jennings; daughter, Jayce Jennings; parents, Jeff and Mattie Jennings; brother, Jordan Jennings; grandmother, Christine Jennings; uncles, Jarvis (Kelly) Jennings, Jerome (Dicey) Jennings, Johnny (Lisa) Jennings, and Joey Jennings; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leon and Pam Parker; and several cousins. The family wishes to give a special thanks to all the coaches, teachers, team mates and friends of Jeffery through the years. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Jeff will be missed and never forgotten.
