OBITUARY:
JEFFERY E. CANTRELL, age 52, of Strawberry Plains, TN, born in Sparta, TN, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the University of TN Medical Center. He was a truck driver since 1980 and an employee of Whitaker Transport of Spartanburg, SC. He attended Strawberry Plains Presbyterian Church. His loves were family, working on cars with his sons, fishing with his Dad, sons, and special lil' fishermen, R. J. and Bronson Lee. Preceded in death by brother, Craig; sister, Lori; grandparents, Everett and Effie Gooch; father-in-law, C. N. (Buddy) Crockett. He is survived by his wife, Nan Cantrell; sons, Nick and wife, Amber, Jeffery and fiancé, Casey Drake, Matthew and fiancé, Lori Milks, Nathan and wife, Kris King; precious grandchildren, Cadance "his "muffin" Eliana and Nate King; parents, Wilma and Harold Cantrell; mother-in-law, Nell (Ma) Crockett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Peggy Cantrell, Mike and Libby Cantrell; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and James Brymer; sister-in-law, Jann and Jeff Berry; niece, Erin Beason and fiancé, Jimmy Massey; godchildren, Kris Broom, Jason Broom and wife; life long friends, Don and Judy Broom, Carl and Dorcas Marcum. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Dennis Maxey officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the funeral home to proceed to Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the grandchildren's college fund to Sun Trust Bank, 244 Andrew Johnson Highway, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871.
