Jeanne Wright Minor

JEANNE WRIGHT MINOR, age 80, of Dandridge, TN died early Thursday morning, November 1, 2007 at home with her family at her side. Born September 26, 1927 in Wise County, VA, the daughter of the late Carl and Ida Wright. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger C. Wright and sister, Frances Sparacino; and Michelle, her loving granddaughter who welcomed her into heaven. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived by her example of faith. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Jefferson City. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert (R.C.) Minor; daughters, Pamela Minor Collins and husband, Robert Dean Collins of Wise County, VA, Deborah Minor McCoy of Dandridge, TN and Mickey Minor Welch of Morristown, TN; son, John Wesley Minor and wife, Merri Lou of Dandridge, TN; six grandchildren, Robert Collins, Stacey Sturgill, T. J. Welch, Steve Robinson, Madison Minor and John Minor, Jr; sixteen great grandchildren, brother, Terry Wright and wife Dinah of Wise County, VA; and a host of loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family reuests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation Memory Walk, 2200 Sutherland Ave. Suite H102, Knoxville, TN 37919. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2007 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Rev. Bob Emmert officiating. Interment graveside services will be 11:00 Saturday at Surgoinsville Methodist Church Cemetery in Surgoinsville, TN.
