Jean-Paul Engler

Rev. Jean-Paul Engler, age 77, of New Market, TN entered the gates of Heaven on April 17, 2025. He earned a bachelor’s degree and worked in accounting for the SNCF in France. Jean- Paul was a prolific salesman and continued his careers by working for Ford Motor Company in Wayne Michigan, owning a hair salon in Colorado, and serving as a paratrooper in the French Army. He accepted his true calling as a minister to the French speaking countries and the whole world and served the Lord for over 36 years.

He loved riding his motorcycle, working on projects and fixing things, and was an artist and author of over 20 books.

His family and friends wish to bring honor to an incredible man and show that it’s not usually the big-name mega church pastor who is on tv, or the worship artist selling out stadiums, who make the largest eternal impact- it is the men and women who serve faithfully face to face without the recognition and admiration they should receive. Their reward will truly be great.

Jean-Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Josette Bedkowski Engler; son, Michael Engler; daughters, Delphine Delmaire, and Evei Lahodik; son in law, Scott Lahodik; grandchildren, Marie Engler, Xavier Delmaire, Jessica Delmaire, and Tyler Lehl; great granddaughter, Kayden Alexis Engler; and sister, Lillian Mauer.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made for the funeral expenses. The family will receive of friends Friday, April 25, 2025 at Redemption Church Knoxville (3550 Pleasant Ridge Road Knoxville, TN 37921) from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Mark Barclay and Pastor Ed King officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00a.m. at Westview Cemetery (250 W. Old Andrew Johnson Hwy, Jefferson City, TN) with Pastor Rocky Martinez officiating.
