Jane Clarke Watkins

JANE CLARKE WATKINS, age 91 of Baneberry, TN passed away Friday afternoon, February 19, 2016 at the Franklin House of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home. She will be remembered as being a devoted wife to her beloved husband Taylor Watkins for 70 years and being a strong family women of the Christian faith who enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family. Jane liked to travel, play bridge, and golf. She was known to sneak around the Baneberry golf course to watch her husband Taylor play, hiding along the way in friends’ homes so she wouldn’t mess up his round. After raising her basket full of kids, she worked a number of years for the Marion Co. School Board in Ocala, Florida. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Watkins, Jr. and survived by her children, Barbara (Harold) Adamson, Carol A. Watkins, Susan (Ken) Deischer, Taylor J. (Carol S.) Watkins, III and William C. (Celeste) Watkins, including numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Memorial gifts may be given in memory of Jane C. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, 5:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Bradley officiating. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
