JANE DARLENE (NANA) GRAVES, age 52, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Ft. Sanders Sevier following a brief illness. She was of the Baptist faith. She grew up and attended school in Michigan, and later moved to Tennessee, where she became a registered nurse and worked at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital in labor and delivery. She also taught nursing at Jefferson County High School. Preceded in death by father, Vannie Wallace and grandson, Taylor Lee. Survived by daughter, Alesha (Harry) Graves of Morristown; sons, Aaron Graves of Jefferson City and Dennis (Melissa) Graves of Kentucky; grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Felicity, Ciara, Jaquela, Bryson and Logan; mother, Retha Wallace of Jefferson City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Debby Wallace of Talbott, Craig and Pat Wallace of Michigan; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; special great aunt, Bea (Deedie) West; beloved friends, Marcy Hurd and Linda Smith; very special friend, Timmy Carter, who has taken care of her for the past year. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Ed Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 3:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon following the service at Bethesda Cemetery for a 3:30 p.m. graveside interment service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
