JAMIE ANNE-MARIE OWENS KENT, age 32, of Knoxville, TN, born January 11, 1978, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at her home following a courageous battle with Cushing?s Disease. She was a former member of Westside Baptist Church and attended Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Central High School and East Tennessee State University with a B.A. in Social Work and her M. A. in Counseling. She was a social worker with Hillcrest North Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her father, James Norris Owens. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Kent; parents, Patsy ?Pat? and David Branch; mother-in-law, Kathy Kent; brother, David (Heather) Branch; grandparents, Charles (Nellie) Branch and Etta Parrott; niece, Katilynn; nephews, Matthew and Cameron,(aka Rosco), all of Knoxville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, including her church families. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Dean Braden officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Indian Ridge Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family would like to give a special thanks to Rural Metro EMS and Fire Department Station # 15. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eskind Adult Diabetes Clinic, Vanderbilt University Hospital, PMG 407727, 2301 Vanderbilt Place, Nashville, TN 37240-7727.
