OBITUARY:
JAMES R. (RONNIE) HANCOCK, age 67, of Jefferson City, TN passed away January 28, 2008. He was a member of Canaan Bound Baptist Church. He graduated from Carter High School and was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He had been employed by New Jersey Zinc Mines and was retired from Mahle. Preceded in death by son, Ronald Scott Hancock; parents, Fred and Julia Hancock; brother, Eulis Hancock; father-in-law, Howard Reynolds. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Reynolds Hancock; son, Garrett Hancock; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Bryan McCampbell; grandchildren, Scott Lowery, Zachary Hancock and Brody McCampbell; brothers, Burl and wife, Jessie Hancock, Joe and wife, Barbara Hancock, Leroy and wife, Brenda Hancock, Freddie and wife, Libby Hancock; sister-in-law, Reba Hancock; mother-in-law, Christine Reynolds; brothers-in-law, John, Steve and Don Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Barbara and J. R. Davis, Debra and Anthony Stallans; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Reverend Ted Woods officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Stoney Point Cemetery in Knoxville for a 12:00 noon graveside interment service with military honors by East Tennessee Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
