JAMES DOUGLAS WARREN, SR., of White Pine, TN passed away on October 3, 2009 at Lakeway Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his first wife, Mendra Parker Warren; parents, Edgar Warren and Gussie Toby; sister, Kathryn Parker; and brother, Ernie Warren. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Evelyn Cline Warren; son, Jimmy Warren, Jr. of Asheville, NC; brothers and sisters, Ethel Mae (R.T.) Parker of White Pine, Jack (Jean) Warren of Alcoa, Ed (Carolyn) Warren of White Pine, Joann Lane of Newport, Hazel Williams of White Pine, Halmer Warren of Hartford, Tony (Jodie) Warren of Jefferson City; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Rev. William Bradley and Rev. R. L. Warren officiating. Graveside interment service will be in Coleman Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 5:00 until 7;00 p.m. at the funeral home, or friends may call at the home of his brother, Ed Warren, 1045 Leadmine Road, White Pine, TN 37890.
