Emblem

James Timothy “Tim” Bream ascended in glory to Heaven on January 17th, 2025, surrounded by the love of his life, Kathy, and his two sons.

Born on September 29, 1955, Tim would reside in Hamlet, North Carolina, until he found his other love in life - the spectacular views from his mountain cabin on Douglas Lake in Dandridge, Tennessee. He and Kathy enjoyed being in awe of nature together and all the bears, deer, raccoons, bald eagles and many other animals that frequented their land. The peace afforded by the mountains allowed them to live rabidly in love and surrounded by true happiness.

Tim was a private, stoic man of relatively few words but of great humor. He was a devoted and proud father of two sons, Jamie and John (Jennifer, who he considered a daughter) and the best “paw paw” to his grandchildren, Lincoln and Amelia. He loved tinkering with household projects, good deals on EBay, riding on the boat with his dachshund (Mindy), fishing, chocolate ice cream, and classic rock music - especially Led Zeppelin and Peter Frampton. He was a cherished friend, a proud United States Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Forrestal, possessed an incredible work ethic, and had a kind heart. But, above all, he was a great and honest man.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Catherine Bream. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy; sons Jamie and John (Jennifer); grandchildren Lincoln and Amelia; sisters Karen (Paul) Capel, Teresa (Robbie) Kirkley, and Kay (Ricky) Callahan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Dollywood Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or your local animal shelter in his honor.

Farrar Funeral Home of Dandridge is honored to serve the family.
