James Michael Thomas

James Michael Thomas, age 73 of Dandridge, TN passed away May 22, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Joyce B. Thomas; brother, H. Jack Thomas of Chattanooga; and two cousins, Sylvia Easton and Charlotte Tallent. Michael is preceded in death by his son, James Michael Thomas Jr. and his parents, Howard and Charlotte Thomas. He was a Young High School graduate and from there went on to serve time in the U.S. Navy. Michael was a Navy veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee and worked for Ford Motor Company Glass Division from which he retired. James loved being on the water and was an MG enthusiast. He was a member of the East Tennessee MG Drivers Club. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
