ROGERS, SR., age 78, of Talbott, TN, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. He professed faith in Christ when Reverend Wiley Neal was pastor at Ebenezer Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Norma Howard Rogers; sons and daughters-in-law, James H. Rogers, Jr. and Andrea of Morristown, Patrick and Lynn Rogers of Talbott; grandchildren, James ?Eddie? Rogers and wife, Jennifer, and Nikki Duckworth; brother, Leon Rogers and wife, Mary, of Talbott; sisters, Pat Howard and Lily Howard; special nephew, Jerry Smith; aunts, Mae Belle Burchfield, Artence Lee; fishing buddies, Jim Miller, Frank ?Buttermilk? Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Kenny Boling and Reverend Danny Matthews officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
