James Gordon Pack

We remember James Gordon Pack, who passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on October 7, 1936, in White Pine, Tennessee, to Zula and Earl Pack, Gordon dedicated his life to The Lord, his family, and community.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Pam Pack, and his cherished children, Denise (Bill) Walker and Alyson (Chris) Susong. His grandchildren, Will Walker (Nashville), Bailey Walker (White Pine), Packston (Sydney) Walker (Maryville), Parker Susong (Oak Harbor), and Payne Susong (New Orleans), were a great source of joy in his life.

Gordon's service to White Pine was profound—he was a dedicated member of the Jefferson County Commission for many years and served as Fire Chief for 28 years, with the Pack Fire Hall named in his honor. He also owned and operated Easy-In Market and Deli for 37 years and was an active member of Harvest Outreach Church.

Gordon's legacy of service and faith will continue through those he loved. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 7:00pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in White Pine with Rev. Jim Price, Rev. Brian Osborne and Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Family will receive friends between the hours of 5-7:00pm at the church. Graveside Interment will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, 11:00am, in White Pine Cemetery.
