James Luther Newman

James L. Newman, age 71 of Dandridge passed away Thursday morning, December 8, 2022 at James H. Quillen Veterans Medical Center.  He was a member of Jefferson City Church of God and served in the Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles S. Newman Sr. and Audra Clinton Newman, brothers, Carl, Roy, Charles, Nelson and Joe Newman, sisters, Joyce Walker, Myrtle Mae Wise and Juanita Loveday.

James is survived by his brother, George T. Newman, sisters, Roberta Dalton and Rowena Lowe along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge from 5:00 to 7:00pm. A Graveside Memorial Inurnment Service with military honors will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 16, 2022 at Swanns Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wise officiating.
