JAMES A. MOORE, age 78 of Dandridge, TN, passed away suddenly Friday morning, Feb. 13, 2004. He was a retired truck driver for Hess Cartage, active member of French Broad Church of the Brethern and served on various committees. Preceded in death by wife, Gladys B. Moore. He was a veteran of the US Navy and WWII, where he received the American Theatre Medal and the Victory Medal. Survived by wife, Mabel Miller Moore; children, Jim Moore and wife, Dona, Jenny Mae Derby and husband Bob, Bill Moore; step children, Edwin Kyte, Susan johnson and Tim Kyte; grandchildren, Robert and Gregg Derby, Elizabeth Neil, Rachel Moore, Will Jones, Heather England, Jennifer, Laura, Amy, Holly and Anthony; several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at the French Broad Church of the Brethern with Rev. Ronald Wine officiating. Interment will follow in the Balch Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
