James Leon Mitchell

JAMES LEON MITCHELL, age 78, of the Shady Grove Community in Dandridge, TN, formerly of Asheville, NC, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 31, 2008 after an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his son, John Steven Mitchell; his parents, Zethra and Bessie Hoagan Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Francis Mitchell; daughters, Catherine McWilliams, Pamela Mitchell and Janet Cable; twin-granddaughters, Gloria and Laura Jetter; granddaughters, Christina McWilliams and Frannie Cable; sister, Carolynn Benefield of Asheville, NC; and brother, Weldon Mitchell of Laurel, Maryland. There will be a celebration of Mr. Mitchell's life in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2008.
