Member of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church, retired from the Jefferson County Road Department and a local mechanic and farmer for many years, and a veteran of WW II. Survived by wife, June Snyder Martin of the home; sons, Murle "Pete" Martin and wife, Shirley, of New Market, Kenny Martin and wife, Julianne, of Dandridge; grandchildren, Angie and Warren Burlingame, Hannah and Megan Martin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005 at Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Boyd Roberts and Rev. Roy Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
