JAMES RITCHARD GIBSON, born in Ottawa, IL on August 29, 2002 passed away due to a fatal auto accident. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Susan (Shaw) Gibson; great-grandmother and grandfather, Edwin and Emma (Craven) Gibson; great-grandmother and grandfather, Ray and Dorothy Shaw; great-grandfather, Jerry Deckard; great-grandmother, Rita Broadus. He is survived by his daughters, Haisley and Addilynn Gibson whom he shared with Summer Gentry; mother and father, Brenda (Broadus) and Richard Gibson, Jr.; brothers, Richard and Brendan Gibson; sister, Brynlee; grandparents, Richard Gibson (Roselyn Gas), Randy and Kathy Broadus; great-grandparents, Barb (Terry) Woodward, Jim and Pat Broadus; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. James was a very caring and loving father, son and brother. His funny out going personality kept his friends and family laughing on a regular basis. He enjoyed spending time fishing, racing dirt bikes, go carts, and slot cars. He enjoyed playing pool and raising his parrots, Blaze and Marley. He was employed at Gray Electrical, where both his brothers were also employed. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home. Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Sister Sue officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farrar Funeral Home to help support the family.
