James F. (Jim) Line

JAMES F. (JIM) LINE, age 87, of Jefferson City, TN peacefully passed to his heavenly home on October 3, 2010. A member of First Baptist Church, he was ordained a deacon at age 23. Jim retired from the Southern Railroad System after 23 years. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, J. R. and Euna Shanks Line and brother, Carrell. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Audrey; son, Steve Line; daughter and son-in-law, Pettis (Line) and Ronnie Moody; grandson, Lucas (Tosha) Moody of Greeneville; granddaughter, Whitney (Stephen) Short of Talbott; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Nathan and Morgan Moody of Greeneville and Cooper Short of Talbott; and brother, Bill (Dortha) Line of Illinois. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Henry Davison officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
