James "Jim" Robert Lane

James Robert “Jim” Lane, was called home by his Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents; Mack and Thelma Lane; sister, Mary Jane Velez and brother, Mickey Crocker. Jim was of the baptist faith. He is survived by his son; Dylan Debord and daughter, Heather Lane, granddaughter, Jayden Lane, companion for 13 years, Brenda Kay Vidak, sisters; Kay (David) Parton, Sue (Everette) Tipton, Linda Lane and Becky Harvel all of White Pine, sister Rita (Jim) Helton of High Point, NC, brothers; John (Linda) Lane, Jerry (Lorrene) Lane, both of White Pine and Tom (Martha) Lane of Morristown also several nieces, nephews and other family members. Jim’s family would like to extend a special Thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice, loyal and special friends: Sugar NcAllen, Adrian Eckert, Gary Parker, Marie Craine, Jim Morie, David Rice, Marty and all his friends at AJ’s and special cousin Gary Griffin. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 6-8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, with the Funeral Service to follow at 8:00pm with Brother Gary Parker officiating. Graveside interment will be on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 11:00am in French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will be gathering at the home of his sister, Sue Tipton, in White Pine for fellowship with his friends and family who aren’t able to attend the services.
