James S. "Jim" Eldridge

JAMES S. "JIM" ELDRIDGE, age 74 of White Pine, TN passed away Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. He was the son of the late Joseph Pleasant (Joab) and Josie Eldridge. Preceded in death by one brother and 6 sisters. Jim was a member of the French Broad Church of the Brethern and was a retired carpenter and electrician. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vola Gann Eldridge; daughters, Linda (Lacy) Guinn of Talbott and Teresa (Billy) Cody of White Pine; grandchildren, Jack (Michelle) Cody, George (Amy) Cody, and Dennis Gunter, Jr; brother and sister in law, Ray and Betty Eldridge of White Pine; sister, Joann Cody and Maggie Burger, both of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Shirley Fortney and Sonny Carpenter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at the French Broad Church of the Brethern with Rev. Ron Wine officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
