James Coy Gibbons

JAMES COY GIBBONS, age 83, of Morristown, TN passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on April 17, 2013. He was born to the late Oda Henson and Otha Love Gibbons. Coy was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Gibbons; sisters, Imogene, Ozella, and Elsie Gibbons; brothers, Kyle, H. M. and Gerald Gibbons. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; son, Darvin; sister, Charlotte (widow of Joe) Roberts; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Gibbons; former daughter-in-law, Gail Gibbons Mays; sisters-in-law, Kate Gibbons, Velma Gibbons and Mandy Dalton; grandchildren, Todd Gibbons, Link Gibbons, Jennifer (husband John) Bonacci, and Amber (husband Ted) Frynkewicz; great-grandchildren, Angela, Callie and John Bonacci, Brooke, Conner and Claire Frynkewicz; niece, Lynette Dalton; nephews, Clint Gibbons, Kevin Gibbons and Steven Dalton; as well as several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He served in the United States Air Force as a transport trainer, jet engine mechanic and a Pentagon postman as a young man, and retired from American Enka. He was a member of the Baptist faith. The receiving of friends and family will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City from 12:00 til 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, with the funeral and burial to follow.
