James E. "Bill" Poe

JAMES E. “BILL” POE, age 83, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday evening, December 1, 2014 at his home. He was a member of the Bogart Chapel United Methodist Church, Brazelton Lodge # 190 F. & A.M. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. James was an avid sports enthusiast and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Trula Huff Poe; and his brother, Guy. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hance Poe; children, Debra Poe, Jill Poe Beck and Lisa (Mike) Jones; 2 special grandchildren, Morgan Jones and Brighton Beck. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers of Caris Health Care Hospice that includes Heather, Cara, Lisa, Kim, Lynn, Angela and Marlene. Graveside funeral services, Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 10:30am at Hills Union Cemetery with Rev. Sherry Franklin officiating.
