James Teddy Correll II

August 14, 1969 — February 5, 2022

James Teddy Correll II

Teddy ran into our Heavenly Father’s arms Saturday, February 5th after a long battle with COVID pneumonia. He was 52 years old. If you knew Teddy, which most everyone did, he loved God, family, and country. He was a wonderful husband, stepfather, son, brother, and uncle. He fully enjoyed these last three years the most because he met the love of his life and her precious daughter whom he got to love and enjoy. He was a momma’s boy and his dad’s twin. In his eyes, no one could do any wrong especially his sister for they shared a special bond that was one for the ages. Teddy did not have any children, but he treated his two nieces as his own and was a huge part of their life. He never missed an opportunity to let them know just how much he loved them and was always so proud. He never missed a play, dance, formal, prom, birthday, ballgame, or anything else they participated in. Teddy’s absence will be felt by many but he has left us with a lifetime of memories and love to get us through. So, it isn’t “Goodbye” so much as it is “I’ll see you later.”

Teddy leaves behind a loving wife, Lisa Etherton Correll, a daughter Stacie (Andrew) Parker, parents Mary & Ted Correll, parents-in-law June & Jimmy Etherton, sister and special ”brother”-in-law Sabrina & Phil Burnett, two nieces Madison Burnett and Lindsay (Aaron) Farmer, a very precious great niece Lilly who he liked to call Maggie May. Teddy was big on family and loved all his uncles, aunts, and cousins near and far.

Funeral Service will be held at Leadvale Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at  7:00pm with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Brandon Cate officiating.
