JAMES A. “JIM” MOORE, age 78, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. He was the son of the late Ted and Geneva Moore. Preceded in death by his brothers, Wilburn Moore, Ralph Moore, Gene Moore; sister, Bernice Lambert. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Charlene Vickery Moore; daughters, Sherry Moore, Susie Hubard, Shelia (Glen) Smith, Karen Moore and Kim (Ty) Henderson; grandchildren, Tesla Smith, Paige Hubard, Tyler Edmonds, Jon Smith, Zach Hubard and a special child to be born on March 1st; great-grandchild, Asher Smith; brothers, Troy, David, Ted and Eddie Moore.
He will be fondly remembered for being a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed to tell stories about his childhood, life, family and God. Jim attended Lee College and owned and operated his own Well Drilling Business for many years. He attended the Indian Creek Church of God and always helped those in need.
Funeral services, Tuesday, 3:00pm at the Hills Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Troy Duncan and Rev. Sandra Melcher officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00pm prior to services at the church.
