He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the city of Dandridge with 23 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, John and Minnie Dalton. Survived by wife, Roberta Newman Dalton; son, Danny Dalton of Jefferson City, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Shirley Dalton of Walland, TN; three grandsons, Floyd, Johnny and Jackie Dalton; five great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Billie Branner officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the funeral home to proceed to Deep Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
