He was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church. He was a retired research technician with the University of Tennessee Agricultural Department/Plant and Soil Science Division and was an avid farmer. He loved animals and was very involved with animal welfare and rescue. Survived by wife, Sharon Byrd Williams; mother and father, Wilma and Jack Williams, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Gentles and Sharon Robinson; nephews, Zack Rue and Jeff Thompson; niece, Jill Christian Rue; great niece, Raven Mason; and great nephew, Jackson Mason. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2007 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Pat Bolis and Reverend Larry DeVault officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
