Jack W. Whitson

JACK W. WHITSON, age 80, of Jefferson City, TN and formerly of Somerset, KY passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence following a lingering illness. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. Preceded in death by parents, Shorty and Mae Whitson; sister, carol Whitson Van Atler; brother, Roger Whitson. He is survived by his lifelong companion, Wanda Satterfield; daughters, Jackie (Stacey) Steinmetz and Stephanie Whitson; sons, Mike (Lisa) Whitson, Paul (Teresa) Hudson, Bernie and Stephen Whitson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Greta Hampton, Bert Cress, Clara Williams, Fran Nichols and Del Whitson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Sinking Creek Baptist Church in London, KY with Rev. David Carr and Rev. Wayne Cress officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at Dunn Cemetery.
