SMITH, age 58 of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nadine Smith. Survived by wife, Barbara Jean Smith of the home; step-son, Nathan Cox of Talbott; step-son and wife, Todd and Christy Cox of Virginia; step-grandson, Cole Cox of Virginia; special mother-in-law, Nannie Cox of Talbott; step-mother, Pat Smith; sisters, Trish Galyon, Kay Richardson and Gail Finchum, all of Sevierville, TN, Karla Justice of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2004 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2004 at the funeral home prior to the graveside funeral service.
