PHILLIPS, age 70 of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, Jack D. Phillips; parents, Earnest and Rose Phillips; and brother, Gene Phillips. Survived by loving wife of 48 years, Iva Mae Phillips; daughters and sons-in-law, Julia and Mick Davis of Talbott, Sherry and Todd Renfro of Jefferson City; grandsons, Hunter and Hayden Davis; granddaughter, Lacey Renfro; brother, Bill Phillips of Jefferson City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend R. J. Seal officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
