JACK LOVE, age 74, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a brief illness. Member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, and a 1956 graduate of Carson Newman College. Retired from New Jersey Zinc Mines with 28 years of service, and also retired from New Market Utility District. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Palmer and Clarcie Love; sister, Joan Love. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Love; daughter, Dr. Jean Love of Jefferson City; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Marion Chiles of Knoxville; nephew, Kendall (Starr) Chiles; great niece, Lauren Chiles; great-nephew, Parker Chiles; special aunt, Boodie Garrett. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Dr. Gene Wilder and Reverend Jim Dampier officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, the family requests that memorials be made to the Benevolence Fund of First Baptist Church, 1610 Russell Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760, or the Jefferson County Humane Society, P. O. Box 653, Jefferson City, TN 37760, or to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Justin McGoldrick and the Emergency Room staff of Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the Cardiac Care Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville.
