Jack and Charlotte Kenley

Jack A. Kenley & Charlotte T. Kenley

September 1, 1935 – December 11, 2024 & December 13, 1935 – November 22, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Kenley, 89, and his devoted wife, Charlotte Kenley, 88. Jack passed away on December 11, 2024, preceded by Charlotte on November 22, 2024. Together, they lived a life built on love, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to family.

Jack, born on September 1, 1935, was a devoted husband, father, veteran and farmer. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Jack spent much of his life working the land he cherished. His passion for farming was evident in the care he took of his animals and his unwavering commitment to his work. Farming was not just a job for Jack; it was his way of life, and he took great pride in the farm he built. Jack showed his love for his family through his signature witty jokes, playful teasing, and picking on family to bring laughter. His sense of humor was one of his defining qualities that brought warmth to all who knew him.

Charlotte, born on December 13, 1935, was the heart and soul of the Kenley family. She managed the family farm, working alongside Jack for many years to ensure its success. Charlotte’s dedication to the farm, to her family and her close friends was unmatched. As a mother, grandmother, and matriarch, she instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of resilience, kindness, and the importance of family. Charlotte's warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength were the pillars upon which her family was built, and her spirit will continue to guide them.

Together, Jack and Charlotte built a life rooted in love, partnership, and shared values. Their marriage, lasting 68 years, was an embodiment of dedication, mutual respect, and unwavering devotion. They are preceded in death by their parents; their son, Sam Kenley; Jack’s brothers Charles “Buzz” & Herbert “Bud” Kenley; and Jack’s sister Ruth Hutsell. They are survived by their son, Joe Kenley (Samantha) and daughter, Janice Moore (Tony); their grandchildren, Christopher Kenley (Jennifer), Kristen Kenley, Mary Beth Moore, and Allison Brown (David); their great-grandchildren, Jack Kenley and Harper Kenley; their daughter-in-law, Marsha Kenley, and many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the 4H Club in their memory.

Jack and Charlotte Kenley’s lives were a testament to the power of love, hard work, and family. They will be deeply missed, but their love for one another and their enduring legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing them.
