IVA MAE FRANKLIN WILLIAMSON, age 95, of Rocky Face, GA, formerly of Knoxville and Maryville, TN, passed away May 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Yule and Lavina Franklin; first husband, Floyd Williamson and second husband, Herbert Williamson; sister, Annette Strevel; and brother, Perry Franklin. Survivors include sisters, Ulyss Davis of Dandridge, TN, Miriam (Midge) Hammack of Knoxville, TN, Rachel (Elmer) Yadon of Charlotte, NC, Nancy (Allen) Pilant of Knoxville, TN; step-daughter, Glenette (Bob) Bagby of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Brent and Craig Bagby; several nieces and nephews. Iva was retired from the Aluminum Company of America after many years of service. She was currently a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Face, and was a former member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church and later Mount Olive Baptist in South Knoxville. She was well known as someone who loved her church and family and never met a stranger. A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Face, GA with interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on May 30, 2012. Per family request, memorial contributions may be made to the church of your choice.
