Irvin William Carter

IRVIN WILLIAM CARTER, age 93, of New Market, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth (Underwood) Carter. He is survived by his sons, Leslie (Charlotte) Carter of Mascot, TN, W.H. (Bill) and Cecilia Carter of Dandridge, TN, daughters, Lois (Steve) Wright of New Market, TN, Debbie (Bill) Colboch of Jefferson City, TN, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Odessa Miller of Jefferson City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Young officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Buffalo Grove Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with full military honors.
