Irene (Mamaw Rene) Roach Williams

IRENE (MAMAW RENE) ROACH WILLIAMS, age 91, of Friendsville, TN and formerly of Morristown, TN went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2018. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she loved keeping the nursery for many years. Preceded in death by husband, Lewis Williams, Jr.; parents, Marion and Minnie Roach; and was the last remaining of seven children. She is survived by seven children, Don Williams (Ruth) of Rutledge, Connie Price (Willard) of Friendsville, Cheryl Newberry (Frank) of Friendsville, Tom Williams (Brenda) of Dandridge, Rick Williams (Pam) of Treadway, Vicki Malone (Nathan) of Chattanooga; Rob Williams (Penny) of Morristown; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Stacey Lawson and Rev. James Williams officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Oakland Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
