Irene A. French

IRENE AESQUE FRENCH, age 85 of Knoxville, TN passed away Tuesday evening, July 6, 2021, at her home. She was born June 5, 1936 in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of the late Lucian Aesque and Clercy Whaley. She was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Chapman Drug Co. and the University of Tennessee office of admissions dept where she enjoyed helping the students. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Johnny F. French and beloved grandmother, Lenora ?Granny? Whaley; brother, David Aesque and is survived by her children, Cindy French, Dennis French, Jennifer Trollinger, David French and John French; grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia Trollinger, Eli and Rachel French; 4 great-grandchilden; brother, Larry Whaley; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, 11:00 am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge, TN.
