Imogene Goforth Felknor

Imogene Goforth Felknor, age 94 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Goforth and Burvellee Rainwater Goforth. She was born and raised in Dandridge, TN and following her marriage to Leon Felknor, they lived in Denver, Colorado for several years before moving to Houston, Texas for 35 years and then returned home to her roots in 1982. Imogene was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed her volunteer work as a pink lady at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and other community and church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Felknor; brothers, Hubert (Josephine) Goforth, Kenneth Goforth, Raymond (Marie) Goforth and W.D. (Carolyn) Goforth; and sister, Mary Sue (Junior) Breeden. Imogene is survived by her sons, John Adrian Felknor and Phillip Leon Felknor; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Felknor and Mae Goforth; special friends, Shirley Murray, Jean Gass and Charlotte Previette; many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 2021, 2:00pm at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Kristen Burkhart, Rev. Darrell Chambers and eulogist Doug Goddard officiating. Interment to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00pm prior to services at the church.
