CARTER BACON, age 66, of New Market, TN passed away on May 11, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of Alpha Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Alice Carter. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Walter T. (Buddy) Bacon; sons, Scott Bacon and wife, Susan, of Talbott, TN, Darrell Bacon and wife, Tammy of New Market, TN; daughter, Darlene Jett and husband, Garry of Talbott, TN; grandchildren, Danielle and Tyler Bacon of Talbott, Cody and Dylan Bacon of New Market, Katy and Shade Jett of Talbott; brothers, Jerry Carter of Talbott, Tracy Carter and wife, Judy, of Morristown, Steve Carter of Russellville; sisters, Zula Pressey of Morristown, Janice Greene and husband, Carson of Russellville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Ward Ashley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
