Ida Morie

IDA MORIE, age 76 of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace Wells Morie, Sr. and was preceded in death by special friends, Blanche Devine and Georgia Morie. Ida lived many years in Cincinnata, OH, where she worked for over 30 years as a management supervisor for Cincinnati Bell. Following her retirement she returned to her native Jefferson County. Survived by brother and sister in law, Harry "Pete" and Dorothy Morie, Jr.; nephews and nieces, Pete and Susan Morie, John, Shelly and Jake Morie, Jeff, Margaret and Jonah Morie, Jennifer, Josh and Nate Pitts; special friends, Faye Morie, Frances Branner, Steve and Tracy Miles, Marjorie Wilder, Vicki Kesterson and family and Carolyn Jo Morie and family and Lynn and Norma Slaton. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, c/o Charles White, 2004 Heather Glen Road, Knoxville, TN 37919.
