HUBERT E. LICHLYTER, age 90, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2011 at Turkey Creek Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Hal and Florence Strange Lichlyter and was a life long resident of Jefferson County. He attended the East Ridge Baptist Church, was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army and World War II, and was a retired supervisor for Tennesse Handbags Co. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Imogene Brimer Lichlyter; sisters, Gladys Fox, Frances Dennis, Bernice Shropshire, Margaret Dennis and infant Pearl Hazel Lichlyter. Survived by son, Ron Lichlyter; grandson, John Lichlyter; sisters, Helen Bradley and Vivian Grice; brothers, Paul "Brownie" Lichlyter and Ralph Lichlyter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Dub Swafford and Rev. Mike Ladd officiating. Interment graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eddie Gray presiding. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the East Ridge Baptist church, PO Box 621, Newport, TN 37821.
