MOWRY, age 81, of the Piedmont Community, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Laurel Manor Health and Rehab. He was a retired zinc miner with 22 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Peggy) Mowry; and parents, Sidney and Vergie Mowry; sisters, Alice Mowry and Ann Cline; brothers, Rex, Bill and Carrol Mowry. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Viviane and Kenneth Northern of Piedmont; son, Larry Mowry of Piedmont; grandson, Larry Mowry II and wife, B. J., of Strawberry Plains; granddaughters, Brandy Davis of Alabama, Rachel (Jamie) Breeden of Dandridge, Paula (Thomas) Brice of Piedmont; great grandchildren, Brandon Mowry, Haley Lynn Breeden and Hayden Breeden; brothers, Tom Mowry of Knoxville and Robert Mowry of Piedmont; sister, Pauline Shores of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Farrar Jefferson Chapel with Reverend Bob Neal officiating. Family and friends will gather Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home to proceed to Westview Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
