She was born in Haywood Count, NC and lived in Knoxville for many years before retiring to Dandridge. Fulfilling a childhood dream of being a nurse, she returned to school after raising three daughters. She loved caring for others and did so for 20 years. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was the ?Coolest Grandma.? She enjoyed UT sports, music, cooking and traveling. She joins her parents, Bessie and Arlie Phillips, in Heaven. Left to always and forever cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, H. L. Ducker of Dandridge; daughter, LuAnn Ducker of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Tanya and son-in-law, Allen, and grandson, Curtis Finchum of Stillwater, OK; daughter, Sheree; granddaughter Jill and grandson, Evan Pittman of Farragut, TN. Graveside interment services for the immediate family and close friends will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge.
