Hershel Eugene Jackson, born March 23, 1947 and passed away on March 14, 2025. He loved to cut up and joke. 

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Allen Ray Jackson and Mammie Grace Jackson, wife, Patricia Sue Jackson, son, Andrew Eugene Jackson, brother, J.W. Jackson, sister-in-laws, Nancy Lowe & Barbara Jean Smith (Jack Smith), and brother-in-law, Robert Earl Cox.


He is survived by his son, Rodney Jackson (Brenda McCravey Jackson), brothers, Freddy Jackson and Junior Jackson, brother-in-laws, John Anderson Cox (Ruth Cox), and Tim Lowe, sister-in-law, Judy Armstrong, grandchildren, Mikey McCravey (Sabrina), Matthew McCravey (Eva), Pamela Rode (Michael), and Devon McCravey, great-grandchildren, Madilyn “Hairdo” Rode, Gracie Rode, Michael "Bubba" Rode, Cooper Banks, Bella Banks, Cooper McCravey, Mya McCravey, also many nieces, nephews, and he will be missed by many good friends.


Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and Lonnie Knight will be the Eulogist, a close family friend and a wonderful preacher.

Pallbearers will be, Rodney Jackson, Mikey McCravey, Matthew McCravey, Devon McCravey, Michael Rode, and Nathan Cox.
