Herman James Holdway

HERMAN JAMES HOLDWAY, age 79, of Morristown, TN went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2009. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in White Pine. Preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Rosa; brother, Bruce; sister, Ruby; and granddaughter, Heather. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Stella; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Danny) Owens of Morristown, Betty (Michael) Denton of White Pine; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby (Peggy) Holdway of Morristown, Jeff (Julie) Holdway, Donnie (Karen) Holdway of White Pine; brother and sister-in-law, Roy (Brenda) Holdway of Washburn; seven grandchildren, Teresa, Jason, Misty, Kim, Josh, Kristen and Lyndsey; ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at First Free Will Baptist Church in White Pine. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Munsey, Rev. Dennis Daugherty and Rev. Jeff Daugherty officiating. Interment will follow the service at Point Pleasant Cemetery. The family wishes to give a very special thank you to Lori Robertson of Smoky Mountain Hospice and Dr. Kenneth Hill.
