Henry Carl Mancke

HENRY CARL MANCKE, age 79, of Dandridge, TN passed away on December 7, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Islip, NY on August 20, 1929, the son of Carl and Sigrid Mancke, who predeceased him. He served in the Marine Corps and the Merchant Marines. He was Plant Engineer for Knoxville Poultry and Egg Company for several years and retired from the City of NY in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phillis Harrison Mancke; daughter, Janet Jones and husband, Perry; son, Michael and wife, Denise; and son, Edward; grandson, Kirk Jones; and granddaughter, Harrison Mancke. A service of celebration will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date.
