Helen Parris Denton

Helen Parris Denton, age 92, of White Pine passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

She retired from Parks Belk in Morristown after many years of service. Helen was strong in her faith and loved her church family. She was the oldest active living member of White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Morristown. She enjoyed being with her family, especially beach vacations together. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, F.N. “Short” Denton; parents, John and Madge Parris; brother, Charlie Parris; sister, Wanda Cook.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Larry) Johnston of Knoxville and Kathy (Arnaze) Cantrell of Dandridge; grandsons, Greg (Amy) Johnston, Blake Cantrell, Cody (Laura) Cantrell; great-grandsons, Tate and Hudson Cantrell; brothers-in-law, Charles Cook and Ronnie (Carolyn) Denton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Vickie, Shanna, Clara, Glenda, Carolyn, Nora and Frankie.

Friends may pay their respects between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine. Funeral Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 2:00pm in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Tom Wells officiating.
